Rays Of Gold
How about the idea of allowing some time - for your imagination to be unfettered. While staying riveted to the moment? This is how Lyle and I have been enjoying these last few days of summer. Strolling on the beach, walking between tide pools and sauntering our way slowly through the muddy shorelines. Feeling the sun on our backs, with the knowing this is a titanic moment in time. Many months at least 7 months may pass, before we feel the same intensity of the sun again.
Though Lyle and I were away from our usual creative schedule. In the forest and on the ocean front natureʼs ongoing story about texture, harmony and design kept us curious and content. Thatʼs the world we live in today. We are submerged in abundance that reflects back our connection to nature. As a nature inspired artist Lyle studies our natural world through imagery and experiences. Yet, to feel as Lyle terms The Spirit Behind All Things. Means he has to stand in the quietude near and ocean or forest and just simply observe and listen for natureʼs whispers.
The feeling of resonating with nature, that Lyle channels into his wildlife subjects. Is what keeps his sculptures shimmering with character and life. Artist who miss out on reserving time to reconnect with our natural world. They miss out on receiving guidance and direction from our worldʼs most masterful teacher on creativity. They miss out on the show of light that happens as the sunʼs rays hit the water at the most precise time imaginable. They miss out on the variegated colours that ripple back and forth on the lit up hills and mountains. They miss out on seeing the very temporary sculpted patterns etched in the sand bars. Most of all they miss out on almost invisible rhythmic power that is only present in nature.
The above image is the most recent capture of The Noahʼs Arc Project. The Tigers Eye stone planking is partly polished showing off the golden sheen on the surface of the gemstone. To see more sculptures and learn more about the engineering elements in this project, visit our social media sites.
All My Best,
